Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty (+340) trails Tennessee Titans QB Cam Ward (+330) as the betting favorites by the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds for the 2025-26 NFL season.

The former Miami passer opened as the second choice behind running back Jeanty, who was drafted sixth overall by the Las Vegas Raiders. The two hold slight leads on the oddsboard over Travis Hunter (+600), Tetairoa McMillan (+650), and Omarion Hampton (+1400).

Tyler Shough (+2000) was the big riser in the early Offensive Rookie of the Year odds after being selected by the New Orleans Saints in Round 2 on Friday night. Shedeur Sanders (+4000) continues to fall down the draftboard, and his OROY are lengthening as a result.

🏆 Early betting favorites to win 2025 NFL OROY award

NFL OROY betting favorites via our best NFL betting sites as of April 26.

🔥 Cam Ward, QB, Titans (+330)

It was only one year ago that Ward was an under-the-radar quarterback for a lowly Washington State program that won 12 games across his two seasons in Pullman. Then he transferred to Miami, showed off his ridiculous arm talent, and ascended to the likely No. 1 spot in this year's draft.

The Tennessee Titans are taking a risk drafting such a raw passer with the top overall pick, but it could pay off in a big way if Ward is able to translate his tantalizing skills on tape into NFL production. It's rare to see a quarterback drafted No. 1 and not be the runaway OROY favorite, so this could be a steal in hindsight at these relatively modest odds.

🔥 Ashton Jeanty, RB, Raiders (+340)

While Ward and Hunter were the top two picks in this year's draft, no player has generated quite the level of hype offensively as Jeanty, who should be the consensus No. 1 pick in fantasy rookie drafts across the board.

The former collegiate star was virtually unstoppable at Boise State, rushing for 2,601 yards and 29 touchdowns last season while averaging seven yards per carry. He won't repeat that in the pros, but with Pete Carroll's affinity for running the football, Jeanty should eclipse 1,000 yards in his Las Vegas Raiders debut and be a strong contender for this award.

🔥 Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Jaguars (+600)

Hunter was the No. 1 recruit coming out of high school before playing for FCS power Jackson State and eventually following coach Deion Sanders to Colorado - where he dominated on both sides of the ball and won the Heisman Trophy.

Hunter is a unicorn of a talent on the gridiron, but it remains to be seen how the Jaguars will employ his two-way skill set. They've said they want to use him as a full-time receiver, which makes these odds compelling for such a superstar talent with elite ball skills and the athleticism to make an impact right away.

🤖 Offensive Rookie of the Year (OROY) AI prediction

I asked ChatGPT, a popular large language model chatbot from OpenAI, to study the 2025 NFL Draft and make its prediction to win Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Pick: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Raiders

  • Odds: +340 at FanDuel
  • Confidence: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5 stars)
  • Projected probability: ~22%

Why Jeanty?

  • Landing spot: The Raiders desperately needed a bell-cow running back after Josh Jacobs' departure. Jeanty walks into immediate volume as their RB1 behind a solid run-blocking offensive line.
  • Play skill: Jeanty is a complete back—great vision, balance, and excellent pass-catching ability—important for racking up yards from scrimmage and touchdowns, which voters notice.
  • Value: +340 offers nice value compared to quarterbacks like Cam Ward, who might have growing pains. RBs often have clearer rookie paths to statistical dominance.

💡 How to bet on NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year

When betting on NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds, find a reputable sportsbook that offers futures bets for this award. Decide how much you want to wager and place your bet on one or more players to win.

It's important to consider the value on the odds for different players. For example, if Cameron Ward is at +260 and Ashton Jeanty is at +270, Ward is favored to win. If you bet $100 on Ward at +260 and he wins, you’ll get $360 back in total ($260 profit + $100 stake). Keep an eye on how the rookies perform throughout the season to see how your bet is shaping up.

Keep in mind that the odds will move dramatically throughout the season based on performance and perception. If a rookie has a standout game, their odds will likely improve. Conversely, if they underperform or get hurt, their odds will worsen.

Team success can also influence a player's odds; rookies on winning teams might see better odds. Public betting trends are important too - if a lot of people are betting on one player, sportsbooks might adjust the odds to manage their risk.

Expert analysis and predictions also play a role as they can sway public opinion and betting patterns. Understanding these factors can help you make smarter bets and potentially catch favorable odds shifts.

📖 How to read NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds

Reading NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds is straightforward. Odds are usually presented in a format like +500 or -200. Positive odds (e.g., +500) show how much profit you’d make on a $100 bet.

For example, a $100 bet at +500 odds would win you $500, plus your original $100 stake, totaling $600. Negative odds (e.g., -200) indicate how much you need to bet to win $100. So, a $200 bet at -200 odds would win you $100, plus your $200 stake, totaling $300.

These odds also reflect the implied probability of a player winning the award. Lower odds (e.g., +200) suggest a higher likelihood of winning, while higher odds (e.g., +1000) indicate a lower likelihood. Sportsbooks adjust these odds based on factors like player performance, injuries, team success, and betting patterns.

Understanding these odds helps you make informed betting decisions and assess potential returns.
